Rough Draft Response
Got the ole rough draft back today. It appears that most of the mistakes and such come with the transitions between thoughts. Ideas need to be more solid. Also the introduction needs to be worked on. There needs to be a few sources cited in the paper that I missed. I got a C which isn't bad, but overall the paper could use some improvement.

front and back
The front regions of a piece are those that are clearly seen, while the back regions are those that are hidden. These are the more interesting parts. These are the parts that Michael Moore uses to voice his opinion. In my topic, however, it doesn't seem that there are any back regions. Poker, gambling...what can be hidden about that? Well I consider the fact that many people gamble for a LIVING a very interesting back region of my topic. Not only that, but the internet as a new medium for this. people sitting at home all day making money just by sitting on their computer. interesting.

this article shows that middle school kids are getting into poker. it shows that parents would rather have their children playing a card game with their friends than playing a shoot 'em up video game.

Interesting Article
http://www.dailypennsylvanian.com/vnews/display.v/ART/41623c0849da8?in_archive=1
I just read this article. Recently in my dorm, several people got in trouble for playing a money game of poker. But in this article, at the University of Pennsylvania, poker is funded by the school, has an online poker site sponser them, and the college sponsors a poker club. At IUP the stakes were probably just 5 dollars each, yet at UPenn, the stakes are usually 20-100. IUP police need more to do than just break up small poker games. In accordance with PA law, the game was played without fees, without cheating, and in a private place. Interesting
